Restore runs forensic SEO recovery for sites whose organic traffic correlates with a named Google algorithm update or a manual-action notification in Search Console. The diagnostic comes first. Methodology
Recovery shape depends on which Google system demoted the site. Panda (launched February 2011, integrated into the core algorithm from 2015 onward, with the inbound-link-to-reference-query ratio described in Google Patent 8,682,892 granted March 2014) demoted thin-content sections via a section-wide modification factor. Penguin (launched April 24, 2012) shifted to real-time URL-level discounting on September 23, 2016, which made algorithmic disavow largely redundant and reserved the disavow workflow for manual-action remediation. The Helpful Content System (launched August 18, 2022 as a continuous sitewide weighted classifier) was distributed across multiple core ranking systems by the March 5, 2024 Core Update, changing recovery from single-classifier rollback to broad quality-signal improvement.
Each reads differently in the signature pattern. HCS demotes the site evenly. Panda hits thin-content sections specifically. Reviews System (2023+ medical-content expansion) demotes review-style pages specifically. Manual actions show in Search Console with category-specific language: unnatural links, thin content, scaled content abuse under the March 2024 spam-policy formalization, site reputation abuse under enforcement that began May 5, 2024. The forensic audit reads the signature against the dated traffic loss before any remediation scope is quoted.

The deliverable is a written diagnosis: which Google system demoted the site, what the signature pattern looks like, what the remediation scope is.
